WKBT-TV La Crosse | Study: Act 10 saved Wisconsin taxpayers $5 billion

WILL’s recent report on Act 10 shares since the laws implementation 5-years ago, Wisconsin taxpayers have saved billions. The study also shows that the law had no significant effects on classroom size or teacher experience. WKBT-TV LaCrosse shared the findings:

“The legislation stripped collective bargaining rights for public sector union employees, including teachers. According to a new study from the conservative group Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty, this helped save state taxpayers about $5 billion.”

“[W]hen the study compared the state to surrounding states, the authors say the legislation had little impact on districts as far as classroom size or teacher experience.”
